A mix of breakbeat, IDM and Jazz, This World Is Not Your Home is intended to be experienced as a voiceless manifesto of alienation. Being cast out from dwelling places physical, social, psychological and spiritual is a paradoxically familiar experience for many beings. A new identity is forged from the ashes of exile, built on the margin and sheltered by the grey area. In this makeshift refuge reflection becomes possible and we may start to wonder to what extent our own exclusion is bolstered by internal forces, as well as how we may have casually inflicted comparable conditions upon others, whose complexities we nonchalantly neglected to consider. Perhaps these forces can be combatted, however imperfect our weapons may seem. Perhaps hope is possible.
